Shayne-racing We are very excited to announce that Shayne Gaffney is the official Cycling Coach for the Ride for Angels event.

Shayne is a USA Cycling Level 2 Certified Coach, and USA Olympic Committee Safe Sport Certified. So Join Us and Register Today for the 8th Annual Ride for Angels A Noncompetitive Cycling Event Sunday, September 9, 2018. With the 8th Annual Ride for Angels less than 6 months away, it's time to register today! And we have exciting news! Whether you are new to cycling or an experienced rider, Shayne Gaffney can coach and guide you to reach your athletic performance goals. He offers personalized and customized training plans for competitive and non-competitive cyclists with a high level of coaching communication, so you feel supported, confident, and educated throughout your training journey.

This includes endurance, speed, and strength training, in addition to building mental stamina and nutritional recommendations to prepare you for your A events or races. Shayne has made specific training plans for the Ride for Angels event. The century plan can be found on his popular cycling blog. Training plans for the shorter routes will be published soon. His blog also contains great information on stretching, nutrition and all topics cycling. We are very excited about this partnership and Shayne is looking forward to helping everyone get ready for the 6th Annual Ride for Angels event. Every dollar raised makes a direct and meaningful impact on the lives of the children and adults who Angel Flight NE helps.

How the Ride for Angels Started

The Ride for Angels was started in 2011 by Scott Havemeyer, a supporter and advocate of Angel Flight NE’s mission. Since the first event took place in September 2011, the Ride for Angels has grown to become a premiere noncompetitive cycling event to spread word and awareness of Angel Flight NE’s mission. <<Learn More>>

Angel Flight Northeast is a 501(C)3 non-profit organization honored to serve the courageous men, women, children and their families who have an incredible will to live. Angel Flight volunteer pilots donate their time, planes, fuel and compassion to assist patients who turn to Angel Flight NE for help when they need to get to medical care outside of their area.
