Fundraising FAQs

 

How does someone donate to this event?
Ideally, they will donate directly through the event website. If you choose to use your personal event “webpage”, we have provided for you, a link will be provided. If you choose to use your personal email, you can simply cut and paste the event website URL into that email. Of course cash and checks are always welcome.

 
Who do I make the check payable to?
All checks should be made Angel Flight NE.
 
How do I submit the checks or cash donations that I receive?
You can submit these one of three ways. You can mail them in; you can drop them off or bring them with you the morning of the event. Please do not mail cash. For quicker processing and to accurately determine those who reach the fundraising benchmarks, please do not hold onto donors checks more than a few weeks.

For any donations that are not being handled on-line, we ask that you please fill out a Donation Form.

Can I drop off my cash and check donations?
Yes. You can drop off the cash and checks along with the completed Donation Form at the above address Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

How do I apply the donations I receive to my fundraising goal?
All on-line donations will automatically be credited to you and go towards your goal. All cash and check donations will be manually credited to you once they are processed. 

Is there a deadline to qualify for the fundraising raffles?
All participants that have their donations in by the start of the ride on September 10, 2017 will be included in the appropriate raffle. This includes people who bring their donations the morning of the event. (The online donation website tool is shut down 48 hours before the start of the event so we can prepare appropriately. We encourage you to have your donations in online prior to the 48 hours before the event, but accept donations via check or cash on the day of the event which will be applied to your fundraising total.)
 
Is there a prize for the top individual fundraiser?
Yes. The individual that raises the most amount of money will automatically win 2 round trip airline tickets from jetBlue for anywhere they fly within the contiguous US. *Please note that the individual winning this prize will no longer be in the running for additional benchmark raffle prizes.
 
Is there a prize for the top fundraising team?
Yes. The team that collectively raises the most money will automatically win a “Ride for Angels” event jersey for each of their team members. *Individuals that are members of the top fundraising team AND raise over the $1,000 benchmark will only be eligible for 1 jersey. **All members of the top fundraising team will still be eligible for the individual fundraising raffles.
 
Is there a prize for the largest team?
Yes. The team that has the most number of registrants will receive a “Ride for Angels” water bottle for each team member. All members of this team will still be eligible for all other prizes as outlined above.
 
Are donations tax deductable?
Yes. All donations are tax deductable. Angel Flight Northeast is a non-profit, tax exempt 501(c) (3) charitable organization. Angel Flight NE’s Federal tax ID number is: 04-3314346. Once a donation is processed, the donor will receive a written thank you letter that will also be a receipt for their donation.
